i just moved into my new apartment, in a new city, and it really feels like a brand new chapter of my life which is both terrifying and exhilarating at the same time. so on my first day here by myself i decided to go to the movies (alone), and i’m so glad i did. i have been dying to see this for more than two years (2! YEARS!) and it exceeded my very high hopes. kit harington, natalie portman, and jacob tremblay all gave incredible performances. i loved the way it looked, the colours, how everything managed to look like a dream and a nightmare all at once. it’s a story about dreamers and tragedy and nostalgia and hope. it inspires others to live their lives authentically, to be true. after it ended, i walked around my new city listening to bitter sweet symphony on repeat, feeling excited about whatever’s to come. this one may not be for everyone, but it definitely was for me. simply one of my favourite things i’ve ever seen.
