Stand by Me 1986
“We'd only been gone for two days but, somehow, the town seemed different; smaller” — Gordie Lachance
Stand by Me is a 1986 coming-of-age film directed by Rob Reiner based on a novella by Stephen King. The film stars Wil Wheaton, River Phoenix, Corey Feldman, Jerry O'Connell and Kiefer Sutherland as four boys in 1959 Castle Rock, Oregon, who goes on a hike to find the dead body of a missing boy.
A surprisingly great movie. Although the entirety of the cast pretty much does a great job at portraying their significant roles, I must admit that River Phoenix and Wil Wheaton COMPLETELY steals the show.
