Watched the audio commentary with Ryan Reynolds, David Leitch, Rhett Reese, and Paul Wernick. I've watched the theatrical cut 4 times, the Super Duper Cut 2 times, Once Upon a Deadpool 1 time, and now this audio commentary, so I've basically seen this movie 8 times now. I still love it so much. Interesting commentary too. I had already known most of the Easter eggs and references to the first movie, but it was still fun to hear them talk more about them, and other stuff I didn't know. This also reminded me and makes me hate even more that we probably aren't getting that X-Force movie anymore that would've been directed by Drew fucking Goddard. Like that would've been SO FUCKING GOOD. Of all of the projects recently that never worked out, two of the three I'm most sad about are Deadpool projects (the other being the Donald Glover show, which also would've been so good).
But yeah, as a major fan of the first movie, this is a very satisfying and entertaining sequel. This is not a joke, but I don't think this movie got enough credit for the great cinematography and the awesome production designs. I like the first movie more overall, but one of the aspects that this one improved on was the cinematography. It legit looks beautiful at points. And the Ice Box set piece was strong enough that it could've worked as an actual prison, I know that's the point of set pieces, for them to work, but the Ice Box looked fucking awesome and that's still cool.
Now, lets pray that we do end up getting an R-rated Deadpool 3 / X-Force, directed by Drew Goddard!
