    Sleep Has Her House


    Had I watched this a few years ago I probably would have hated it for being boring and pretentious. And idk maybe there's something to that. But having seen it for the first time now I think this is an artistic masterpiece.
    I don't think I can put into words how this made me feel. The atmosphere in this movie is beyond anything that I've ever experience before. What Scott Barley accomplishes with so little is incredible. I can confidently say that I've never watched anything quite like this.

    The seemingly ever-present fog wrapping itself around the eerie architecture. Shades of red in every frame creating a beautiful splash of colour in a movie that's otherwise mostly made up of black, white and greys. Shadows creeping around the screen as if they had a will of their own. A score as beautiful as it is haunting and powerful. This movie is the gothic dreamscape a story like Dracula deserves.
