• Superman II

    Superman II

A slight upgrade on the original thanks to the introduction of the 3 kryptonian villains led by terence stamps brilliant general zod.A real fun movie especially in the scenes where they square off against each other.

  • Superman

Yeah it looks a little clunky and cheesy today but make no mistake this is one of the films that set the trend for superhero movies.

    Is it a bird..is it a plane..no its a bloody good film.

  • The Amazing Spider-Man 2

    The Amazing Spider-Man 2

It's a disgrace that garfield never got to complete the trilogy for his spider-man.The potential they had with the sinister six was massive but the dickheads at sony somehow fucked it up and left us without.

Personally garfield is my favourite spider-man (the other two are great so don't come at me complaining) and would have love to seen him interact with the likes of kraven the hunter and the others.

  • Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Very impressive introduction for shang-chi into the MCU.Some top tier fighting sequences and impressive sequences,ok the plot kept you engaged and didn't lag at all

The cast was excellent all round especially from liu as this was his first full film as the lead.

A fresh and exciting new addition to the marvel cinematic universe.

  • The Amazing Spider-Man

    The Amazing Spider-Man

Not bad but not brilliant either. Some good points (garfield and the stan lee cameo) and a few not so good (the lizard and some slightly dodgy CGI)

It erases the memory of the nightmare that was spiderman 3 but doesn't come close to matching 1 and 2.

  • Spider-Man 3

    Spider-Man 3

Raimi really let himself down with this one,to many villains and to many storylines made this the weakest of the trilogy. That 15 minutes of parker acting like a complete and utter wanker because of the black suit should haunt raimi forever.

Bruce Campbells waiter better be one of the characters that gets transported to the current spidey verse in no way home. The guy is a legend.

  • Spider-Man 2

    Spider-Man 2

No doubt the best of the trilogy thanks to a great story and a memorable bad guy who ranks up there as one of the best ever.

  • Spider-Man

So starts the process of rewatching all the previous movies before no way home hits next month.

The effects seem a little dated and defoes performance feels a little hammy at times but it's still a great film and holds up really well nearly 20 years after it's release

  • Rocky V

    Rocky V

Thank god they didn't end the franchise on this awful film that's all I can say.The boxing in this felt it was the least important subject, the father/son aspect seemed to dominate more.

The last 15 minutes when rocky fights gunn in the street and the locals are cheering rocky on was nothing more than a desperate way to have stallone fight in some way or another.

I can see why this got a few nominations in that years razzle awards, especially for that stomach churning song by elton john over the end credits.

  • Finch

This is a wonderfully touching movie set on a post apocalyptic earth.Hanks plays finch who is dying from radiation poisoning decides to build a robot to look after his beloved dog once he is gone.

Hanks is good as finch but its the dog and the robot who steal the film for me.Watching the robot learn what it is to be human and about life, love and friendship really will touch your heart.

A real delight of a film.

  • The Eyes of Tammy Faye

    The Eyes of Tammy Faye

The Eyes of Tammy Faye takes a look at the rise and fall of television evangelist jim bakker and his wife tammy faye bakker.Starting from their humble beginnings to creating one of the largest religious broadcasting networks ever until it all came crashing down when jim was put in prison for financial irregularities relating to his ministry.

This was a pleasant surprise of a movie, especially if you have no knowledge of the story prior to watching. Garfield was good as…

  • The Harder They Fall

    The Harder They Fall

Well this is my film of the year without question and one of the best westerns of the 21st century. This is a brutal, bloody and extremely cool western that hooks you in from the start right up till the end.The soundtrack is fantastic as well.

This is not just a cast of black actors doing their thing for a young black director ,this is a cast of very talented actors at the top of their game putting in fucking incredible performances…
