Stewart leads a mostly shoulder-based performace as Diana in a gorgeous looking but chokingly oppressive film about the isolation she felt in the midst of a press barrage, marital infidelity and constant gossip about her. Brilliant score and great kid playing Harry.
A lot to love, great actors, interesting story and an overall esthetic which works well if you dont look too close. The story however promises so much to then dissapoint with no real tying together of the narratives and the motivations of the characters.
How can a movie be so long and feel rushed?
