    The Vast of Night

I applaud all things technical, heck I’ll even praise the acting. This film was made for $700,000 and that is amazing.

I just don’t feel like the payoff was great enough to justify the suspense that had been built (which was pretty well done, I spent most of the film on wanting to know what’s up).

  • Raw

Watched with a room full of people who had never seen it before. Added years to my life. One of the best experiences witnessing them watch it for the first time.

    Greatest final shot in cinema.

    Promising Young Woman

The first half had a shock factor and badass tone that left my eyes the size of saucers and intrigue in where the film was going. The latter half I started to realize just how effed up the things she was doing were (even if she didn’t actually do them, which the film never fully confirms either way). Pieces of a Woman

“I guess we are just missing a piece of the woman” -me telling my friend Jake why we were confused from this movie

The side stories are too unclear for me, I couldn’t quite keep track of them. The car stuff, the lawyer who is related to them, the mother who has dementia or something, I don’t know if I was just not paying attention or if it wasn’t as clearly developed.

I liked Shia in the first scene (the…

    It’s beautiful, it’s terrifying, it’s mesmerizing, it’s very discomforting, and I can’t look away.

not even sure if I liked it, but there was so much about it that fascinated me that I think I might have loved it.

    Ma Rainey's Black Bottom

Loved every SECOND of Chadwick’s performance. The story itself was alright nothing crazy but all around a good time.

    Three Colors: White

The fall and rise of a simp. Oddly hilarious.

(I realized I had accidentally logged Red, but I’m actuality I had watched White. Fixing my mistake.)
