Riot in Cell Block 11 1954
it amazes me here in 2021 these great old noirs are available at the press if a button. I remember the noir message boards Blackboard and mine Back Alley and our blog Noir of the Week. It was the only way to talk about these films. Before streaming and file sharing we would share movies via VHS and DVD R via the mail. Now is a time for more folks to appreciate ones like this great b film. Watching on Criterion Channel

Rewatched after a long break. Love Grahame and Crawford in this. Now if Ford wasn't in it and they cut out that inappropriate teenage girl with the tightest sweater ever then you'd have a great film. Lang's direction is workman like but flat.
