Pride Denied: Homonationalism and the Future of Queer Politics ★★★★½

Significant and fair criticisms of corporate and jingoistic pride over community events, the prioritization and shaping of goals such as gay marriage, and a mature look at the future of queer political power. Basically why the Queer Liberation March/ Trans Marches/ Dyke (or in the case of NYC the dyke-adjacent, black-focused Love) Marches thrived this year under such political turmoil while sponsored parades went out with a whimper.
