    Batman Forever

You guys can hate Forever all you want but the fact remains that the astonishingly beautiful Cyberpunk Gotham City with its neon-infused underworld and grotesque gothic architecture conveyed an incessantly vibrant visual experience that cannot be denied. An eccentric nightmare of Neo-Expressionism that allowed the Bat a unique showdown against lavishly costumed morons that is as loud, excessive and colorful as I remembered. These worlds will not be forgotten, Joel.

Keeping up with the Cronenbergs: A Canadian Horror Story.

  • Blackhat

Before Thor became Mr. Robot I used to believe your taste could be defined whether you like the films of Michael Mann or not, and after watching Blackhat I'm sorry to say... I STILL FUCKING DO!

  • The Fog

    The Fog

21st of April 1980 (what's with these crazy coincidences?!) John Carpenter unleashed that shiny Fog into Antonio Bay and 41 years later I'd happily exchange some vengeful leprous pirates for pandemics and quarantines.

    America is so fucked up.

  • Happy Together

    Happy Together

Always in the Mood for Wong: stylised melancholy, turbulent reality and lung cancer. A bitter, excruciating romanticism disguised as minimal - yet meaningful - gestures of love that work as both an unreliable memory of what it was and as a hopeless dream of what will never be. Exactly like Lai and Ho's toxic relationship, Happy Together feels so deliciously painful it's actually impossible to let go.
