Nicolás Vargas’s review published on Letterboxd:
Haters will never accept the fact that the talking Space Raccoon / douchey friend in The Hangover actually produced, wrote, stared and directed this absolutely wonderful adaptation of A Star is Born. The fact that this is Cooper's first feature film is outrageous, an achievement of epic proportions and I cannot wait to see what he's gonna come up with next!
There's so much love and passion put into this film and that overwhelming chemistry between Cooper and Gaga is so damn tangible it makes my stomach burst with butterflies every single time that Shallow scene comes up. Even on a rewatch it's moving as fuck.
