• Gorbachev. Heaven

    Gorbachev. Heaven

Portrait of a leader as and old man - weak as everyone, still insightful. A must see for soviet history-buffs, may be a bit too long for others viewers.

  • Downstream to Kinshasa

    Downstream to Kinshasa

A journey from the heart of darkness that try to reach the eyes if the people in power and also the viewers of this movie that shows as a side of Africa rarely discussed in the news.
The movie is a protest against war and neglecting civilians victims, but it’s also demonstrate the light and power found in a united community, as well ad using art to deal with trauma.

  • All Light, Everywhere

    All Light, Everywhere

So many interesting ideas in one movie, an overflow of information, film techniques and point of view about the act of viewing as a form of political power. The style of the director some time make the movie seems condescending, but the ending spin the film into yet another location and subject, in a way that shows the filmmakers respect for the people in his creation and people in general.

  • A Man and a Camera

    A Man and a Camera

Uncomfortable at first, but strange and funny by the end with very little happening, beside human behaviour.

  • Pink Flamingos

    Pink Flamingos

My previous log was a Pixar movie

  • Luca

    Luca

A accurate depiction of the experience of being a teenager, in a movie for kids and adults of all ages. Marvellous.

  • The World to Come

    The World to Come

This movie is a clash  between a beautiful, gentle mise-en-scene and a banal dialogue/voice-over. The actors are good, but almost every spoken word seems like a cliche or a parody, though the movie is still interesting despite the big weaknesses.

  • Falling

    Falling

Toxic masculinity vs. Tolerating masculinity in a movie about a man coping with is father dementia and none the last is father rude behaviour throughout is all life. The acting is very good, but the movie is too long and it’s structure doesn’t work.

  • Gunda

    Gunda

I can’t say I enjoyed this one for all it’s running time, but the ending is good in a way that words can’t describe.

  • Cruella

    Cruella

    ★★★

A fun mess. Not an origin story, an Alternative look at the character(s).

  • Wonder Woman 1984

    Wonder Woman 1984

    ★★★

    Extremely typical superhero movie

  • Alexander the Great

    Alexander the Great

The most challenging film by a brilliant director. Sometimes the symbolism in this one goes too far and this is not and easy film to sit through, but it’s worth seeing for several stunning sequences and amazing ending
