This is officially my second favorite Groundhog day type movie.
It is such a heart-wrenching movie with a tragic story and a surprisingly amusing bizarreness in its premise. It makes a scary, effective theme and atmosphere out of a seemingly innocent children’s song. Not to mention the beautiful score and unique way of storytelling that we find rarely in the horror genre.
This movie is weird and quite enjoyable.
Honestly, Knowing absolutely nothing about this film as I started it, I was a little underwhelmed to find out that it’s vampire-related. It changed my mind though.
This well-acted and beautifully directed artistic painting takes its time with every frame to immerse you in this mysterious and atmospheric world and never seems to be in a hurry.
A girl walks home alone at night has much more depth than the premise lets you think.
Watching this, I couldn’t help but wonder if the movie would be better with a completely different cast. But then I see how the script sounds like it was written by a 12-year-old and realize how much of a mess this is.
It’s sad to see such an interesting concept wasted on an underwhelming, forgettable film and reduced to an overall boring experience.
