Mel Gibson now becomes one of my favorite on screen portrayals of Santa, EVER.
Roy Pulver (Frank Grillo) is an ex-special forces officer who is stuck in a bit of a time loop set into motion on the day of his death. To make matters worse, a bunch of assassins are trying to kill him. He must now figure out how he got in the loop and break out before it's too late.
This could've been any other time loop movie, which does bring some of the normal conventions in the second half, but…
This movie man. It follows a couple and some friends on their way to Sweden to witness some festivities. We can say shit hits the fan. But this is a slow burn that gets you unsettled quickly and stays there. You're on edge the whole movie waiting for shit to happen, and the visuals are trippy and throw you for a loop.
