Love. Absolutely love. Perfect comedy, action, and heart. Cannot help but always get so into it, and always amazed by how every set up is paid off in spades. Amazing movie, and a perfect watch at the end of this fun weekend for us.

Casting: perfect. Sound design: perfect. Music: perfect. Line deliveries: perfect. Blocking: perfect. Everything else possible: perfect. Something fun to do: check out the IMDb trivia page. You will admire Leslie Ann Warren’s performance all the more, and a fourth filmed-but-cut ending is cuh-razy dark. Flawless movie, every piece of it.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

As noted previous review, Page rented for us a private screening of this film as an early anniversary gift (official day is tomorrow). It was extraordinary. (And also SUPER safe. And surprisingly cheap—only 90 bucks!) Our first return to the theater in over a year. It was...we’re speechless. We LOVE it. It’s a childhood favorite, but this was out of this world, this experience. And we got to laugh more openly, etc., than if there were other people around. The…

Page is the best wife ever. Tomorrow is our anniversary, and she arranged for us today to see our own private screening at AMC ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’. We “pre-gamed” at home now with ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’. The expression applies: they don’t make them like they used to. Can’t wait to share the theater with you, Page, be back in a movie theater again with a classic, and have John Williams music all around us. ❤️ Love you, honey!

Not really sure how to rate this. Can’t fault it for creativity. Parts reminded a bit of Stella, but it’s still vastly different. Was going to give just 2.5, but that entire library bit bumped this up a whole star. Would pinpoint more specifics, but to do so would be to spoil. A 15 minutes unlike any other.

Were they this good at arts and crafts since childhood? The creativity of Joseph Pelling and Becky Sloan never ceases to amaze.

    Frozen II

Pretty solid! It’s of course not the first one. The only good thing to come from Kristoff’s big “Lost in the Woods” song is the Weezer video (kids would not get why that scene was funny...), and there’s a song near-ish the end that Anna has where you’re supposed to really be feeling it, and....we just weren’t feeling it. That being said, there’s some very cool and enjoyable parts and visuals throughout.

  • The Black Cauldron

    The Black Cauldron

HAD to look up if the film composer also did music for Ghostusters, and YUP!!! It was awesomely clear.

After Leo finally won his Oscar, he may have flipped channels after the post-Oscars partying, landed on The Black Cauldron playing in the middle of the night, and thought, “Y’know...I may have gotten cinema’s supreme validation...but I will never be Hen Wen the pig.”

This movie is also DARK. WOW. Page gives it 5 stars, Zach gives it ultimately 5 stars…

High School Musical 3: Senior Year

Uh....hazing/humiliating kids as if that’s cool? All round b.s.? Troy’s rich kid cabin in the backyard? Helping yourself into the school at night with Inception hallways twirling about? We are MADE of questions. Also: not a single tune in any of these movies can we hum from memory. Not a one. What is an actual interaction with Kenny Ortega like? Truly: how grounded in reality is he, day to day?

    The Father

Upon rewatch, realized: is the title in reference to Anthony, or to Father Time?

Definitely rewatch. Many new things to discover, and surely more upon yet another rewatch. Hope to maybe see the play one day. Perfect.
