Jane Schoenbrun’s debut feels like a spiritual sibling to the films of Lukas Moodysson and, surprisingly, Tsai Ming-liang’s Rebels of the Neon God. And wow, Anna Cobb...a tremendous performance, the film rests on the power of her face. One of the most sensitive portraits of life online. And, without a doubt, one of the most impressive works you’ll see this year. Really something special.

Carrie Mulligan, Jake Gyllenhaal and Diego García (!!!) all together in one film -- well played, Paul Dano. Wildlife is a smart-but-safe calling card for this actor-turned-director.

Then again, the narrative economy's on a bit of a tight budget though, don't you think...?
