(2018 really out here being the year of directorial debuts.)
Written by the two lead actors, Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal, Blindspotting seamlessly blends comedy with such important and timely subject such as race, identity, gentrification, and police brutality. It’s incredibly hilarious yet the feeling of unease maintains and lingers all throughout the film. The performances by Diggs and Casal was raw and powerful, like an invasion of their thoughts and feelings. You can really feel how personal this film is to them. Amazing visuals and editing, amazing debut by director Caros López Estrada.
