So I really just finished this in one sitting, uh?
I've never done that except for new Stranger Things seasons, but holy shit this thing deserves it. Those last two episodes are the most satisfying shit ever.
The police procedural storyline is amazing, courageously lead by the most powerful duo of Weaver/Collette. Their dynamic kept me engaged through all the hard-to-stomach content. But most importantly, Kaitlyn Dever's troubled journey as Marie is more revelant & powerful than ever.
We really need more TV like this. Important, timely stories lead, written & directed by those most directly linked to their content (aka women's sexual abuse stories told by, ya' know, actual women). So please, y'all, check this out. It's beyond worth it.
