🎊 THE LIST!! 🎊
[1] Props to Michael for doing an awesome job creating and hosting in January. Let's watch something he's rated four stars or higher.
[2] _____ of the living _____, find a movie that fits the bill. Alternate titles are ok too. (Examples)
[3] It's so very, very cold in Canada right now. Let's think warm and sunny thoughts. Watch a horror movie filmed or produced in a country that has the equator running through it.
[4] In all my movie watching years, I've never seen anything starring Paul Naschy. Watch one of the many films he's been in.
[5] What was your dream job as a child growing up? Watch a movie featuring that job.
[6] I've been diving deeper and deeper into the SOV rabbit hole as of late. Won't you join me? Watch any Shot-On-Video horror flick. (Examples)
[7] Time to break some new ground. Check out a horror movie that NO ONE on your friends list has seen, or at the very least something that hasn't been reviewed.
[8] Watch a horror film with a soundtrack composed by Riz Ortolani.
[9] Put the number of horror films in your watchlist into Random.org. Roll three times and pick one of those three to watch. If none are available in your region, keep rolling 'till you find one that is.
[10] Go back and watch something you scored two stars or under in the past, but think is deserving of another look.
[11] I've been falling way behind on my Jess Franco watches lately. Let's give one a look!
[12] Yes its been done before, but this wouldn't be much of a list without some kind of Cat Clue! Watch something from Hollie Horror's Litterboxd List, preferably starring a cute 'n' cuddly black cat (cuz they're undeniably the best 😻)
[13] Dig into a subterranean horror flick. Sewers, subways, caves - anything that takes place in a grimy 'n' gross hole in the ground.
[14] It's Valentine's Day! Put on something absolutely lovely that is tagged as both romance and horror 💕
[15] And keeping with the holiday theme, the 15th is Family Day here in Canada! Catch some family-friendly horror fun.
[16] Well those two holidays are done and over with, and we're also well past the halfway point of the month. Consider this a day off to watch whatever tickles your fancy!
[17] CASTLES! Creep into a horror flick with one sweet lookin' castle!
[18] Watch any horror film featuring George Buck Flower.
[19] The year is still young, but if there's a 2021 horror flick available that you really want to see, give it a look. If not, a 2020 release will do just fine.
[20] Watch a Lucio Fulci directed film made anytime AFTER 1985.
[21] The nostalgia is way too real dude. Rent something off of Belial_Carboni's 90's Video Store Horror Shelf. And remember, be kind please rewind! 📼⏪
[22] Giallo... You can never have enough giallo films. But how bout we make it a bit tougher. Watch one from anytime BEFORE 1970. (Examples)
[23] Watch a documentary film revolving around some kind of horror based subject.
[24] February 24th is late director Riccardo Freda's birthday. Let's watch one of his films in celebration.
[25] The 30's were a revolutionary time for on-screen terror. Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff - absolute legends. But instead of watching them strut their stuff for the thousandth time, let's check out something from the decade to NOT feature either star.
[26] Too much horror? I know, right. Take a lil' break. Chill. Relax. Watch the shortest horror film available to you.
[27] BREAK'S OVER!! Now let's watch the longest horror film that you can get your mitts on! (within reason of course, don't get too crazy...)
[28] And finally, a little shameless self promotion! Watch something from my ever-changing Top 100 Horror Flicks List. I guarantee you'll find something good!... maybe... possibly... who knows!?
Thanks everyone for playing along! ✌️
