Barry Daulton’s review published on Letterboxd:
That was good, I love David Cronenberg, and the apple doesn't seem to fall too far from the tree here. Intriguing, brutal, a bit grotesque, highly sexual. Those are all ear marks of early Cronenberg, so for Brandon to pull that off, that is a huge compliment from me. I mean seriously, this is better than anything his father has done in more than a decade. I really see a bit of eXistenZ in here, so gotta feel like casting Jennifer Jason Leigh is no coincidence. Consider me a fan, I really like this sort of film. Probably a 4.25, but I'll go down to 4 until a rewatch.
