This one fucked me up. I don't believe for a second that it was made by a 28 year old and that it's both leads' feature debut. The performances were ridiculously superb and the characters incredibly affecting. Meticulous production design and gorgeous color palette that worked like a charm. Powerful story.
It's a slow burn but definitely a rewarding one, heavy but somewhat easy to watch because it's capable of sucking the viewer in from the very first frame. I literally just finished it and I'm itching to play it back.
I also wanna point out that Iya's particular PTSD condition is easily one of the most memorable character traits in recent years, I felt every second of her pain during those scenes.
A real gem that can't go unnoticed.
