What can I say that hasn't been said already?
A work of art.
Every aspect of it is brillaint.
I used to think that Tarkovsky's habit of lingering on a shot would bore me but infact it was exactly the opposite. I had time to revel in what I had just heard.
One thing I hate is when a film throws philosophy in your face without any basis, but this one said it in such a refined and humane manner that I just can't help but love it.
I had a whole lot more written for this review in my notebook but I'll save it for my next viewing, once all my opinions are concrete.
But yeah, this Andrei kid's got some talent, hope he comes out with some new stuff soon :)
