Watiti Strikes Again!
An amazing balance of humour and emotional moments. Great acting and set design. Child acting is usually not great and this is definitely a stand out.
The people that are complaining that it's offensive is a mystery to me though. It's a movie from the perspective of a brainwashed kid, the movies tone reflects his tone. It's showing you a unique perspective and your complaining that it's not your own. What, you expect the kid to start celebrating after he watches people getting exacuted? No. Just because it's the way the character feels doesn't mean it's the way the writer feels.
Nobodys gonna watch this movie and suddenly become a nazi.
