This is one of my favorite movies this year. It is filled with some of the best scenes and performances of 2019. In fact, this might feature the best performance in any Tarantino film (DiCaprio as Dalton). Still, it’s not perfect like some of QT’s other work and certainly benefits from a lack creativity or hype in 2019 cinema.
It also features some of the realest and most round and developed characters I’ve seen in a long time.
If Leo doesn’t win an Oscar or if the little girl isn’t nominated, I will riot.
Margot Robbie is perfect. Not many actors could be so moving or present without a huge amount of lines but she is the soul of it all.
Brad Pitt is the coolest cool guy in the history of Hollywood.
I will say though, you could cut down the runtime by a good 10-15 minutes by removing a lot of superfluous and indulgent takes and scenes. My girl and I went to the bathroom for 5 minutes and didn’t miss anything important. I’ve no problem with Long movies as long as they use the time.
