This is hot. Spielberg’s biggest and most purely fun spectacle since Tintin. Like in Tintin, all the action sequences are immersive, creative and they look so damn good. Kaminski and Spielberg are totally on fire here.
As for the pop culture references, they’re nothing to make a big deal of. They’re mostly in the background (except for one which went on for a little too long and I can’t decide if it’s so weird that it’s good or just bad. Either way, as soon it was over I pretty much forgot about it and could enjoy the film again).
All the performances are good blah blah blah, I don’t know what more there is to say except that this movie is a total blast and that you should go see it.
Let Spielberg have his fun you assholes.
