  • Venom: Let There Be Carnage

    Venom: Let There Be Carnage

This movie is so strange. It's basically a flat out comedy for a good hour and Carnage is treated like a b plot.

  • Alien: Covenant

    Alien: Covenant

Nothing is more frustrating than watching a science fiction movie full of incompetent scientists doing things against common sense ... the characters from this movie are the reason why shampoo needs to have instructions. Even someone with basic knowledge of biology knows not to explore an unknown planet without a suit and a quarantine chamber.

  • Alien Resurrection

    Alien Resurrection

I've always suggested that every Alien movie was a different genre: Alien was horror, Aliens was action, Alien 3 was a thriller, and Resurrection was a COMEDY.

  • Gemini Man

    Gemini Man

Sometimes a movie trailer is really bad at showing off a movie, and just makes it seem boring and unoriginal. Then you actually see the movie and you're like "Wow, wow that's actually pretty good. Glad I gave it a chance." This is not one of those movies.

  • X-Men Origins: Wolverine

    X-Men Origins: Wolverine

    Wake me when it's over.
    -Victor Creed

This is a very forgettable movie. I’m really hoping the next few are better because this series is starting to lose me. This movie isn't bad because "they got Deadpool wrong." That would be a generosity.

Try the obviously unfinished CGI making painful contrast with the level of spectacle they thought they were going for. Or the consistently terrible setup references to other X-Men films, because this is a prequel so EVERYTHING has…

  • Love & Other Drugs

    Love & Other Drugs

There's no drug strong enough to get me through another movie like Love and Other Drugs. Potent when it parodies Big Pharma, detumescent when it turns to romance. Jake Gyllenhaal is great in Love & Other Drugs. So is Anne Hathaway. Too bad the movie's a mess. A mess, but one of those messes where it's at least fun to debate the different ways in which it got it so wrong and could have been great.

    Overall, A big, sloppy movie…

  • Killing Them Softly

    Killing Them Softly

So much potential but no payoff!

This movie starts out great and Through the entire duration of the movie I was waiting to see how great the ending would be. To say the least I was let down. It started off so promising but the ending left me disappointed.

There is more wordplay than gun-play here and it is a Neo-Noir, hard-boiled, unfettered attempt at gritty realism. Some of the extended dialog scenes are pretty good but not quite excellent.…

  • A Million Ways to Die in the West

A Million Ways to Die in the West

It's pretty good at delivering gags, but when it comes to actual plotting the movie falls short. The romance at the heart of it all is cliche. Unfortunately the plot weighs the movie down, acting as an anchor of mediocrity. The film is at it's worse when it's trying to be serious and actually make you care about what's going on. It can be a funny film, but you have to put up with the boring romance and conflict. If…

  • The Chaser

    The Chaser

Watching a movie with such a high score, and more a Korean movie that is not the average movie that everyone likes, rises expectations a lot. I learnt that I can't trust the scores any more, and I got disappointed again. I get the point of the movie, as it seems to be the incompetence of the police department. Also showing how unfair life can be and full of injustice. This isn't new in cinema and doesn't make this movie…

  • The Shining

    The Shining

I seriously do not understand why everyone loves this movie and thinks it's one of the greatest movies of all time. It's so terrible! The acting is bad and overdone, the music tries too hard to make it creepy, and it doesn't follow the book, at all.
