Rasmus Madsen’s review published on Letterboxd:
This really took a decent concept and flushed it down the drain. It had so much potential to tell an engaging and emotionel story about loss, heritage and the burden of expectations. While Shang-Chi does touch upon all of this, it all drowns in big spectacle and heavy handed world building. Also it quickly falls into the familiar marvel trope of undermining genuine moments with lazy jokes. It has interesting concepts and impressive fight choreography, but that's all there's to it.
