Ryan Daniel’s review published on Letterboxd:
Everything Viola Davis touches turns to gold. Her and Chadwick Boseman both give amazing performances in this, and unfortunately, Boseman’s best performance yet is also his last.
I didn’t know too much about him before he passed other than he was Black Panther, but after watching more of his other performances including this one, it’s pretty obvious that this man had a massive amount of talent, and could easily have become one of the best actors in Hollywood. Gone way too soon.
The music and the writing were also really solid, it’s pretty amazing what this film was able to pull off in such a small scale.
