I liked this one the most out of the recent batch, mainly for the cast, and the tighter focus on storytelling (or perhaps more effective reshoots). Maybe it helps when everything has to be tied up in a single film. The settings and VFX seemed more imaginative too. The CG characters are unforgivable to some, but what are they supposed to do? The relentless repackaging of these films means the originals will never fade and the roles can never be recast (see Solo). So if they're going to keep making these suckers, and keep trying to shoehorn in old characters, get used to it I guess.
