“You didn’t invent my sadness”. Whatever sadness you have will surely be cured after watching this tender, touching and glorious movie.

A beautiful and subtle story that on the surface is cute and fluffy but deep down has a sense of tragedy that is told through the perspective of an 8-year-old girl. A runtime of just 73 minutes makes this very plateable for audience members seeing a foreign language film for the first time but people familiar with international cinema…

I have to start by saying this. Please think hard about if you really want to see this. Or please be careful who you take to see this. I say this because after a particularly gruesome scene, an elderly couple tried leaving the theater but unfortunately one of them passed out and fell down the stairs. Don't know why I rewatched this. But I wish I didn't. I've never lowered a rating this much after a rewatch before. Especially this soon after the first rewatch. Everything I said in my last review still stands, but the things I disliked were much more apparent this time. Still love you Edgar

The definition of a rewatchable film. Repeat viewings offer you the chance to spot all of the hidden details that foreshadow the climactic ending. This movie takes Chekov's gun to a new level because there isn't a single wasted second in the over two hours of runtime. Containing elements of a classic and modern mystery movie, the outstanding screenplay and performances make this a film I will return to many times in the future
