This movie tries to be smart, but ends up being annoyingly bad.
A wanna be The Matrix meets a wanna be Inception meets "why the fuck did I just watch that shit, and can I get the last 2 hours of my life back?
This one gets an unapologetic 5 stars for cast and style alone. King of New York is both peak Ferrara and peak Walken.
Farrara is King of gritty (but artistic) crime films, and this doesn't disappoint.
PS: you see, this is whole plot is what happens when people don't have the communism they deserve (not sarcasm).
