Pretty rare that a horror franchise with 4 movies stays consistently good but Wes Craven is a genius who has his finger on the pulse of cultural and societal trends. Both this and Scream 3 are ahead of their times and feel more prevalent and uncomfortable watching them in 2022. Particularly, the obsession with Internet micro celebrity, of mimicking violence that came before you because you saw the way the world reacted to it (not positively, but extensively, obsessively, constantly).

An important doc that traces the history of trans rep on screen — good and bad — and speaks to trans people about how they reconcile and relate to those images.
