Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood

Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood ★★★★½

Takes its leisurely time but eventually you get so engrossed in this late-60s Hollywood world that you almost wish it didn’t have to end. In some ways, Tarantino is a bit more restrained than usual; it’s not as hyper-stylized as Kill Bill or Django Unchained, though it still builds to a totally absurd third act that had the audience cheering. Frequently funny but also a little bittersweet. Brad Pitt really shines here, he’s just so effortlessly charismatic.
