I never got around to watching this, but I picked up the trilogy in 4K so I’m finally giving this a watch.
I think The Matrix works pretty well on its own, but the sequels do expand the world nicely in many ways. I gotta give props to the Wachowskis; this is unashamedly their work, and their style and vision shines through, flaws and all. The large-scale set pieces are pretty damn cool too. I look forward to revisiting the trilogy again, especially with how incredible they look in 4K.
