The opening sequence gave me goosebumps, and it only got better from there. Dramatic tension broken by laugh-out-loud comedic moments and opportunities to cheer on the lead characters. Kirsten Wigg was a great casting choice, and she’s perfect in the role. Plenty of beautifully designed large action sequences mean I’ll be watching this again to absorb all the tiny details.
Are some bits of it a little cheesy? Sure. But this is Wonder Woman, not some dark and gritty action film. It’s been a shit year and this is the bright and hopeful film I need right now.
Loved it. Will see it again.
