    Inglourious Basterds

Those 2 1/2 hours SPED by. I would watch an entire feature length film of just Christoph-Waltz-being-evil scenes, but I really liked the parts with Laurent, Kruger, and Pitt as well. Say what you will about Tarantino but his dialogue is unmatched and his love for cinema bleeds out of every scene. I can’t believe it took me this long to get to this one, but I’m glad I did!

What a sweet movie. Taiki Waititi is so good at directing children, and Sam Neill excels in anything he’s put in. How majestical!

  • City Lights

    City Lights

Funny, impressive, and sweet. Big fan of the drunk choreography.

What I love about Wes Anderson movies is what a lot of people seem to not like: every character is deeply flawed and many aren’t super redeemable. It seems more realistic that way. Many of Anderson’s plots and stories are not realistic, but I feel like the characters IN the stories behave like real, imperfect people, which is an interesting dichotomy. Maybe I’m talking out of my ass, but I enjoyed this a lot and the soundtrack is so good. Nepotism won today

Tobey Maguire has been typecast as a guy who runs around going “woo!” and jumping everywhere. And I love that for him!

I was about to review this (I liked it; it was dumb funny) but the font in this text box is different and I can’t tell if I accidentally hit something in the app or if the app updated and the font changed. This is throwing me off. I’m freaking out and screaming and flying around my room like a bat.

Did exactly what it needed to do; nothing more, nothing less. Silly and fun. Could have used more Shalhoub, but when am I not saying that? There’s only so much you can do with a spoof of something that didn’t take itself too seriously in the first place. Overall a good time.

Harlan Pepper, will you stop namin’ nuts?

Another Guest movie that has stuck with me for years. Perfect characters and cute dogs galore; what a film. It’s also so funny to me that the best in show judge is Major Briggs from Twin Peaks.

One of my favorite movies of all time. So glad I got to show it to my roommates. The music is catchy as hell and the chemistry between Levy and O’Hara is unmatched. RIP Fred Willard!!!!!!!!
