Only the second Miyazaki I’ve ever seen (other one is Kiki’s Delivery Service)—will definitely be checking out more. Loved the clear James Bond/Indiana Jones vibes. Such a stylish movie as well!

  • Brigsby Bear

    Brigsby Bear

    ★★★★

Really cute!! Made me tear up! I like movies where there’s no clear bad guy, even when characters do objectively bad things. Everyone has very realistic responses to very weird situations which I appreciate. That’s about as specific as I can get without spoilers so I recommend watching it!!

  • Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan

if Borat made me a wedding sack I would gladly go into it and hang out in there

  • An Evening with Tim Heidecker

    An Evening with Tim Heidecker

    ★★★★

tim heidecker is not so much a person but a mirror, reflecting society’s greatest inequities and most depraved rots. he reveals the twisted little ways we’re pawns in the government’s evil games. he’s everything. he’s nothing. he’s a black hole. he’s the universe. he’s a dying star. he’s the sun. and he is my cousin

  • 3 from Hell

    3 from Hell

    ★★★★

It took me a couple weeks to watch this because I kept tuning in for like 10 minutes every few days, which all film critics agree is the best way to watch movies. That being said, I really enjoyed this trilogy/series ending, even though I needed more Danny Trejo and Sid Haig (I realize the latter is impossible). Weakest film of the three, sure, but even the weakest is still very entertaining--even in 10-minute intervals.

  • Blade Runner

    Blade Runner

    ★★★★

I think I have to watch this again with no distractions because when it ended I was like "wait, that's it?" I was expecting at least another half hour or so of conflict but again I might have missed something. Still, what I saw was very beautiful and entertaining and I would risk it all for Rutger Hauer (RIP :( ).
