Definitely Tarantino's most mature movie so far, which isn't necessarily a compliment for a man in his 50's. The best part by far was the Sharon Tate arc, which made me think that maybe if the budget had gone to a Sharon Tate-centred biopic with a female director, we would have been left with a more interesting and important movie. Even though I'm not the biggest Tarantino fan, I can't help but feel touched and happy about the way he gave a woman whose death has been sensationalized and exploited for decades, the quiet and loving happy ending which she so desperately deserved in real life.
