From the first scene into the title, I knew I was gonna like this movie. A film intuition if you will. Everything from the production design to the directing to the script and acting were perfectly crafted to tell this battered portrait of the world. The way it was filmed with those long shots, making you sit with every second the character is living through - the world is living through, were almost excruciating.

So awful what happens… Really puts your guard up to the world to think about how cruel it can be. But this movie’s portrayal of the determination to survive is what keeps you going too. “How do you guage someone’s will to survive?” 6 miles. That’s how.
“Sufferings hard on young men. They don’t got our practice.” Jeremy Renner is so wonderful and I just know so many people appreciated his performance as it was such a reflection of the truth of the pain & sorrow so many people have felt.

Very disturbing film.
Shang-Chi has to be one of the most exciting characters to be introduced into the MCU. He is gonna be absolutely great to follow over the next couple years. I didn’t realize how much of a direct sequel this would be, and that’s why things that may be predictable are that way because it’s building off of something else. Still, that was directed really well and the story is actually really compelling. Like that was a solid ass movie.
When she saw the sketchy staircase and said nope, yeah I felt that.
Also when that high schooler was being killed and you saw her dab pen drop, I REALLY felt that.
