Ryan Saylor’s review published on Letterboxd:
Not as painful as I thought it'd be. Sure, basically every single word chosen was wrong or bad or outdated but the genuine goal of the film was to humanize trans people to a panicked cis audience. It does have random racism though.
Regardless it has story, acting, and directional problems aplenty but it's also too short to really hate too much of it. Except that dream sequence that is just. So. Long. Otherwise though. Not good but relatively painless and definitely something interesting to see from its place in history.
