Ryan’s review published on Letterboxd:
Lost in Translation was my first "real" movie. I was 12 when I first saw this and it made me realize that movies could be for more than just entertainment; that the medium could be used to say something about the human experience. I don't totally know how to articulate my feelings towards this film, but it is very special to me and I don't know who I'd be now if I hadn't seen it.
Nostalgia aside, this movie is basically perfect. I love it so much.
