Sion Sono please never stop making movies. I really enjoyed this. It isn’t Sono’s best work by quite a bit, but it’s still so enjoyable. It’s a blast and absolutely balls to the wall crazy. Yet still it isn’t even close to Sono’s craziest movie. Cage is insane in the best way possible, and visually this is just perfect. Biggest issue for me is that it’s not written by Sono like just about all of his other films. If this…

This was not good movie. But it was better than I thought it would be. That’s not saying to much however. Went in fully expecting to give this a 1 or half a star. The trailers were horrendous. Still not a good movie by any means, but it’s not all that awful. Some good catchy songs here and there, and some decent performances. Kaitlyn Denver and Amandla Stenberg in particular are good here.

Also Evan Hansen is an awful person.…

This may just be the wackiest most insane film I have ever seen. A 4 hour epic. It’s like 5 movies in 1 and they are all masterpieces. The last hour of this movie is some of the craziest shit I have ever witnessed.

First saw this back in middle school, instantly it became a favorite. Very influential on my taste in films. Was gonna save this for my Halloween October binge, but fuck it I wanted to watch it. I’ll probably watch it again in October anyway.

John Woo really makes the craziest movies. The action and gunfights are just top notch. Action has always been one of my favorite genres, so I loved this. Tony Leung and Chow Yun-Fat both are incredible in this.

Simply incredible. One of the greatest pieces of animation I’ve seen. Completely experimental, I really admire how out there this is. Visually it is absolutely stunning and hypnotic. It’s short and simple, yet still completely engaging. The score and sound design were both incredible. All of it put together made for a surreal and hypnotic experience.

This was such a blast! Very much a throwback to 70’s and 80’s grimy action thrillers. The cast was all good, with Gerard Butler stealing the show.

Truly incredible piece of filmmaking. Wow what a stunning film. A little rough around the edges but that’s to be expected as it’s Yimou Zhang’s debut film. And what a debut it was. The last 30 minutes is just pure perfection. One of my new favorites for sure. Just wow.

Incredibly funny. Very dry, dark humor. Just up my alley. Alan Tudyk is so great in this.
