  • The Holiday

✨ Jude Law at Christmas ✨

  • Billy Elliot

    Billy Elliot

“I’m just there. Flyin’ like a bird. Like electricity”

This has to be the fourth or fifth time I’ve seen this now, and it still brings me to tears.

  • Inside Out

    Inside Out

    “Boyband island... I hope that’s a phase”

I too would be living in Boyband island.

Don’t know why I haven’t gotten round to this one sooner. Overall a very sweet film. Very imaginative and inventive, and the animation is stunning. Not my personal favourite Pixar film, but it offered me a lot of (pardon the pun) joy for a few hours, and that’s what counts.

  • The Art of Skiing

    The Art of Skiing

Don’t mind me rewatching all of the goofy short films.

  • When Harry Met Sally...

    When Harry Met Sally...

“I knew the way you know about a good melon”

This absolutely warmed my heart. A beautiful portrayal of fate and the romantic intertwining of lives. Every single line lands, probably because of Nora Ephron’s brilliant writing. Romcom perfection.

  • Endless Poetry

    Endless Poetry

“Poetry shall illuminate your path like a blazing butterfly”

This was an experience. Self indulgent artist makes everyone aware that he is a great poet. It has some really interesting visuals, but it’s far too narcissistic for my liking and so many of the plot points did not sit comfortably enough with me to enjoy this.

Helped me practice my Spanish though, so at least there’s that.

  • Soul

“Life is full of possibilities. You just need to know where to look”

This was just beautiful. A really imaginative film, with stunning visuals and a wonderful score but at its core it has a really inspiring, heart-warming and meaningful message. As it delves into the world of passions and personalities, Soul is a reminder that people are made up of the things that they love and the importance of how that translates into their everyday purpose. I can’t quite believe how beautiful of a film this is.

  • Bao

This takes me from laughter to shock and then to tears within a matter of minutes, but it’s so beautiful for that.

  • Burrow

This was just so sweet. I too would love a disco bathroom as well.

  • Grease

I just want to scream the words to every song at the top of my lungs.

  • It's a Wonderful Life

    It's a Wonderful Life

This has to be the most magical film of all time

  • Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

    Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

“Don’t you like girls?” “We ain’t never hardly ever seen one”

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is an annual Christmas watch for me. It’s always an experience. The sexual politics are absolutely horrendous, and at times makes it really difficult to watch but at other points breaches out into the absurd so much that it’s laughable. But the film is full of fabulous musical numbers and all of the choreography and timing is brilliant. Overall a joyful watch, even if it leaves you slightly confused as to what you’ve just seen.
