Why did they set up a better romance than not follow through? Riley x Abby is a much better romance. Riley stealing the girlfriend of her abuser would have been amazing. Harper Caldwell outed her girlfriend in highschool and made her face a ton of homopobic bullying. Riley and Abby had chemistry and even bonded over trauma. I didn't understand how Abby wanted to join Harper's family and get back with her.
