I guess I’ll be the goof who champions this movie. Despite its horror-esque poster, this is a pseudo parody/light black (grey?) comedy about the dangers of mixing theme park hijinks and mafioso capitalism, I guess. Saint David Lander is charmingly unhinged, Jan Hooks is pitch perfect as a cheerfully ditzy secretary, Bruce Mahler (the aerobics-horny morgue worker from THE FINAL CHAPTER!) is great as a sympathetic straight man, and this has maybe the best Humphrey Bogart impersonator I’ve ever seen.…

Insanely original, incredible performances and just gorgeous. While purely a horror film, it’s one that could only be made by someone who’s studied (or understands on an instinctual level) sociocultural theory, read a lot of sci-fi literature and has an endless well of empathy and humor.
