Scumbalina’s review published on Letterboxd:
Every time I watch this film it’s as if I new piece of valuable information is transmitted directly from Tobe. This time it says that directors should score their own films. Aside from the perfect use of Roger Bartlett’s Redbonian Fool for a Blonde, Tobe and Wayne Bell’s sparse use of noise, scratches and field recordings create the sonic atmosphere that IS the Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Acoustic hellsound anesthetizes the viewer before an eruption of constant unrelenting chainsaw screams which take us hostilely into the morning.
