Teacher Meg and her lecturer husband Nick travel to Paris to celebrate their thirtieth wedding anniversary whilst hoping to rekindle their ailing marriage. During the short visit Nick runs into Morgan an old university friend who invites them to his party.

Worth seeing for the powerful performances of Lindsay Duncan and Jim Broadbent who do their best with a weak script from Hanif Kureishi (My Beautiful Laundrette, Venus). Good in parts but fairly forgettable. Disappointing.

A remarkable, clever little film with excellent animation which benefits from repeated viewings. I found it engaging from start to finish. Although originating from Hungary…
