I'm always caught off guard in the best possible way by how slow John Carpenter's films can be. They are always immensely pleasurable to watch, the vibe is very comfy and he allows you to soak up every bit of the atmosphere. This one has maybe my favourite JC score, love seeing Harry Dean Stanton here too (of course). Absolutely delightful stuff.
