Sheldon Dugas’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is one of the most brutal and evil movies I've ever seen. It's so violent and depressing at times that makes it difficult to continue watching, but the movie is so well made and acted that I just couldn't stop watching it. It's not for the faint of heart, with an early gore scene being uniquely awful that I'm sure could frighten some. Dakota Fanning and Guy Pearce do some of their best work here. The movie has a great pace and story that was riveting from start to finish.
