Sheldon Dugas’s review published on Letterboxd:
With a Cronenberg directing and a Sutherland acting and the movie (presumably) set in Toronto makes this movie hit the Canadian trifecta. This movie is bloody and gory awesomeness, and I expected nothing less from that terrifyingly awesome poster for the movie. Haven’t picked up too many new blu rays of 2020 releases, but when I saw this was coming out today, I knew I had to get it, and I’m glad I’m did. It definitely plods in the middle, but it’s still super engaging and the story is pretty original and cool. I wish they expanded on it more, but what they showed was not disappointing. This would make for a great tv show. I love to see practical blood in films and this film has gallons of it. Also some brutal gore that can be hard to look at for some. All the performances are pretty great, I’m definitely gonna have to check out Antiviral when I get the shot. Also loved the use of colours which really made this movie pop.
